Dustin blinks and Cameron grins - he’s kind of helplessly adorable, flailing his hands and flapping his lips in stuttering confusion. Dustin shouldn’t have to be dealing with this anymore, especially shouldn’t have to be saved, he’s not in high school any more for crying out loud! “I’m. I’m fine, yeah. But why did you… just now…?”

“Because it’s not fair what they do to you.”

Dustin kind of feels like a damsel in distress that’s just been rescued. He’s close enough to being a damsel with his thin frame and complete lack of any muscles whatsoever, and Cameron here - like a prince in shining armor, with his flowing hair and perfect teeth and his shoulders and his - uh. Yeah. Not that Dustin’s spent any time staring at Cameron, imagining what those strong arms might feel like, or anything.

“I, uh. It’s okay, you know, I just kind of live with it.”

“You shouldn’t,” Cameron frowns.

Dustin shrugs. “I can’t do anything about it…. Thanks, but I, uh, I’ve really got to get going.”

Dustin takes off down the hallway like a rabbit and Cameron doesn’t recognize what the feeling is that’s left in his chest.

I flailed. I was just going about checking the meme all dootdootdoot and was all of a sudden flailing. THANK YOU!

This is wonderful so far, Cameron being all white knight in shining armour and Dustin being his tiny damsel. Great start, I can't wait for more.

UM OKAY SO HI. I wrote this fill and I have a little bit more of it (about 3500 words total by now) but I'm not sure how much I'll actually get to work on it or how much more I'll get to do. In the meantime though, I wrote this short little not-even-a-fic-fic and it doesn't have everything you asked for, it has a lot of stuff repeated from this but it's Cam and Dustin and I think it's pretty cute?

I've been hoping someone would fill this. I find this pairing so interesting and I have a soft spot for Cameron. I loved this small fill, esp. the part about Dustin's insecurities and Cameron telling him everything he loved about him. And I'm excited to see where you go with the longer one- Cam as the white knight to damsel!Dustin is so sweet!
