Okay, I'm a little new at this so sorry if I mess this up first go. Because it's been 5 months since the last round even though we haven't been busy. I figured I might as well earn my keep and try to get this place alive again...

unnecessary second minifill: in the sea anonymous January 12 2012, 16:17:31 UTC
this turned from a drabble about dancing to weird ocean metaphors and twelve bucketloads of commas with a side order of waltzing. i blame my sleep-deprived brain.
-----

Watching Eduardo dance is like watching the sea lick the shoreline, gentle and lithe, punctuated with quick, agile, and forceful movements. He sways like the waves, inviting you in just to crash around you, pull you in deeper, capture your entire body in his ebb and flow.

Eduardo loves like he dances- he loves like the ocean, all-encompassing, boundless, terrifying and mysterious and beautiful. He loves Mark like the ocean, deep and continuous. The moment he falls in love with Mark is the sunrise on a glassy ocean, the first blast of light pushing through the darkness, the bright shock of purple flashing across the deep blue-black.

He hasn’t always had Mark- there was the interlude without him, dark and miserable, but Mark exploded back into his life like a firecracker almost as quickly as he’d left it. Now that he’s back, now that the sunlight has returned, Eduardo is never, never letting it go.

Mark doesn’t dance like Eduardo, but Eduardo doesn’t mind. His right hand lays warm on Mark’s hip, left hand cradling his, Mark rubbing the gleaming silver on Eduardo's second finger with the pad of his thumb. Eduardo’s lips are warm against Mark’s temple, whispering a steady rhythm along with the music. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. Supportive, guiding, nudging Mark along like the ocean current.

Dustin is alongside them, twirling around with one of Mark’s sisters, Chris with his husband, and even Sean has Mark’s assistant, Leighton, spinning in his arms. It's all smiles and laughing and Eduardo think that if he’s the sea and Mark’s the sun, then all of these people, their family and their friends and everyone in the bizarre bubble of their life, are surely the life inside of them, the lighthouses that help them find their way, the coasts they crash against.

When the song draws to a close, the dance floor clears of all couples but one: Eduardo, fluid and nimble, and Mark, strong and steady. There’s no music, just the scuffling of feet, the pumping of two heartbeats, the crash of the ocean waves along the sunlit beach, the touch of Eduardo’s mouth to the soft curls at the side of Mark’s head.

“You make me so incredibly happy, Eduardo Saverin-Zuckerberg,” whispers Mark, feather-light.

Eduardo keeps his promise to himself and holds Mark tightly, doesn’t let him go, doesn’t let his sunshine fade away.
