To write a novel.
I've been working on my book a lot over the last several days. I haven't written as much as drawn out outlines, thought about characters and plots, and done some research on tips for writing a novel. I have random bursts of inspiration, usually at work, where I feel comepelled to write but am unable to do so. With my work schedules, I haven't been able to make time to write -- but tonight I will sit down and pump out at least one chapter before bed.
I went downtown Portland today and meandered around the mall and then rode the max train to work at the hotel. I thought it would get the juices flowing and I was absolutely right! During the course of those hours, I got several ideas for the story. I think I will try to do that as often as possible -- once I have a reliable laptop, I'd like to go sit at Starbucks downtown and write for a few hours a couple times a week.
So that's my world right now -- Hotel, McD's, Hotel, McD's, the occasional date, and working on my novel. I have a tentative title that I need to do some more thinking about but I am DETERMINED to see progress in 2010 with this!
