Black leaders upset over child's handcuffing

Updated: 5:07 p.m. ET April 29, 2005ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Black leaders are urging the police chief in St. Petersburg, Florida, to punish officers who handcuffed an unruly five-year-old girl last month.

A video of the incident was aired around the world, showing three white police officers handcuffing the black kindergartner at her school.
About two dozen black leaders met with Police Chief Charles Harmon yesterday. Harmon has said officers should never have been summoned to the school.
A classroom camera shows the girl tearing papers off a bulletin board and punching an assistant principal before police are called. The child then appears to calm down before officers arrive. They are seen pinning her arms behind her back and handcuffing her as she cries.
She was put in the back of a police car and later released without charges.
if you ask me her damn ass deserved it...i watched the video and she needed something like this to get the point...for those of you who do not know what happened...a five year old black girl...her being black has nothing to do with it...was acting up in class...the teacher put her by herself in an area of an empty class room as punishment...she threw everything around..chairs...everything on the shelves...she even ripped things off the wall..she was jumping on the table and hitting the teacher...the teacher callled in the principal...who took her to her office to talk...it was like a tornado hit her office...that little girl pushed everything off the desk and tore everything off the wall...they could not get her under control...it just so happened that they had been filming everything because this girl did this a lot of the time and the mother did not believe it...the superintendent was called in and after viewing the little girl decided to call teh cops...now the mother and all the other black people of the world think they did it to her because she is black...BULL SHIT...i am tired of black people...and all other races...playing the damn race card...im black...i have come across soem people who were racists and punished me..with bad grades or taunts...but not everything is about race...that little girl was out of control...she needed to be taught a lesson.
