I had totally forgotten I had this thing until someone mentioned it recently so I thought I'd jump on to check it out.
You know so much has happened and yet I'm still me...good ole mischievous me *insert wicked grin*
I'm still working for the same college institution, but in a different role and a better pay packet come payday.
I've been travelling and OH LORDY have I seen quite a bit of Australia now and guess what.....I LOVE CAMPING......not stay at a camp site with a ready hot shower and amenities at hand, but out in the bush miles away from anyone, dunny roll in the back of the car, days without a shower cooking off a gas stove CAMPING. I love having the tent cover off and staring up into the stars and feeling the cool wind across my face CAMPING.
My most beautiful wonderfully hairy lovable macho shithead of a gorgeous boyfriend and I are buying a house together, yes that's right debt ahead of us for 30 years or more. So wonderfully in love without all the bullshit. Have not been so happy in a long time. I no longer see my psychologist and I'm finally doing the things that make me who I am without taking crap from someone else.
Yes that's us sweaty and unshowered in the middle of the outback at sunset.
We have an absolute menagerie of animals, my cats, snakes, monitors, dragons, geckoes and soon to be a dog :)
I've been sky diving, gotten more piercings - more tattoos, been on holidays all by myself to meet people i've never met before.
Been tramping through the rainforest photographing death adders, chasing scrub pythons and getting bitten by brown tree snakes in far north queensland, sitting on painted cows and war monuments, learning to tail red bellied black snakes and patting baby camels in Victoria.
One of my good friends got married in December =) and another got engaged at the same time =)
I thought all I wanted was to settle down, turns out i needed to live more ;) Turns out you can do both and be so absolutely excited by each day that you look forward to going home to see what will happen next.
