I wish I could trace back my history. The reality is that it is a lot more “murky” and I will probably never know any of it..

More famous Robertsons.... tshiverd March 29 2010, 18:34:05 UTC
(S) Robertson, Charles A., U.S. Navy (Reserve) - World War II
(C) Robertson, Donn J., U.S. Marine Corps - World War II
(C) Robertson, James Ferguson, U.S. Marine Corps - World War I

These three also earned the Navy Cross (the Adm did also in WWI)
One of them is bound to be family.... At least your sister understood her seafaring ancestry. She didn't sully the family name by going into the Artillery... ;-)

Was searching for the citation on the admiral's Navy Cross and came across 3 pages of Robertson who have earned medals for valor in Military service. Certainly somewhere in there is a relative of some sort... How would you go about getting basic info on your birth father? Wonder if his death record is listed on line anywhere and if it would list his parents?

Robertson is my Sister and brother's dad's last name. He is not my dad. The only thing I know about my dad is his name was "Tom Lakes"..
