boston legal is also my favorite show. i find it funny that my prepubescent/teenage crush on james spader has resurfaced. his dry wit, his minimalistic approach to facial expressions, these things have not only contributed to his evolution as an actor. they have also caused me to be reduced to a glossy eyed grinning 16 year old whenever he is on the tube. and don't even get me started on the secretary. i'd have to excuse myself for some "me" time.
in other news, i made green chile chicken enchiladas for dinner. who rocks the kizzitchen!? this chick. right here. HOOHAAHHH!!! new mexican food is the best food ever. ever ever. if you haven't tried it, or if you dare to disaggree... FOR SHAME!
in other other, and more political, news,
. and i have to say, i'm torn on the subject. i have always been a proponent of the death penalty. i feel that there are just some people out there that righteously and completely suck. but this case brought to my attention the glaring fact that the system has a huge flaw in it. yes, stanley killed four people. we all know that. but i can't help but feel that there are so many other people within the prison system that were much more deserving of this than he. what about the mass murderers? what about the serial rapists? what about all of the criminals who have done things that are just as heinous as "tookie", but because of this or that, they don't have to worry about having a needle stuck in their arm? i don't mean this to sound like i am pro "tookie". because i am not. he committed murder and for that he received his punishment. but the man actually tried. he made an effort at reformation. i feel that this fact should have been taken into account, not nessessarily in his case, but in the cases of the other criminals who did not receive the same fate. did they or have they shown any signs of reformation at all? have they expressed remorse? are they in the least bit concerned about their victims or the families of their victims? no? then i say fuck em'. i mean it. this might be offensive to some and for that i am sorry. but i believe that there are just some people out there who bring nothing good with them and who leave nothing but death or destruction or pain in their paths. and they don't feel bad about it. even after they get caught. so fuck em'. but the system is flawed. thoughts?
