So the weekend didn't happen like
I had planned. As soon as I got home I picked up my sister
to take her to the Amtrack station in St. Louis. I dont think I
have ever been in a more stressful situation. This is where the
madness began. I missed my exit, then got stuck behind stopped
cars in the middle of the street, drunk people walking infront of my
car, streets blocked off, and running very late for the train. So
about this time I'm about to have a panic attack when we see the train
station..YAY! There's a sign saying Mardi Gras party bus this way
with an arrow and its in the direction of the station. So you
would think that you can drive down that road, and I did. As soon
as I turned I realized it was a one way street, and a metrolink bus was
headed in my way! So we did make it to the station alive, thank
god! The ride back was more interesting becasue I had no clue on
how to get back on the interstate. We were driving in downtown
St.Louis in the middle of Mardis Gras and I dont think I have ever seen
so many people, thousands and thousands of them, and they were all
drunk. So I finally find my exit and it takes me atleast 5
minutes to make the turn because people wont get out of my way.
Then i make my way down the street and people are in the middle of it,
so this drunk guy yells at all his friends to get out of my way, then
he pushes his friends in front of my car!!! Then they get out of
the way again and that same asshole runs out in front of my car and
thinks its just the funniest thing ever. Did i mention this is
only 2:30 in the afternoon. After that I had no desire to go to
Mardis Gras, espically if we werent leaving til 8pm. Maybe next
year I'll make it earlier before people get too stupid.
Then when I get home I meet my mom's new boyfriend. Which was
kinda weird. Earlier she had asked me to stay at my Dads that
night and to call when I came home to make sure things were in the
clear!!
Things got a little crazy this weekend, even more after that. We
went to Wild Country, that was an ordeal in itself. I drove
drunk boys home, I didnt even make it to my house. Sunday I went
with the boys to thier duck blind to pick up decoys, and its just as
much fun as it sounds. hehe. Met my boyfriends whole family, and
the list goes on.
