samsonite
we've got an insane cat living with us.
long story on how we got him but let me just give you a bit of the details:
1. he eats like a goddamn hippo. i've never had a cat that eats this much.. i swear i put food in his foodbowl at least 5 or 6 times a day and he acts like he's starving each time, pawing at the food container, pawing at your hands as if you're not moving fast enough for him. ingrate.
plus he's a beggar. doesn't matter if he just ate 3 minutes prior to you sitting down to enjoy a plate of food, he wants some and he wants some NOW. if he could talk he'd be yelling "OH MY GOD THAT SMELLS SOOOOOO GOOD!!! CAN I HAVE SOME? PLEASE OH PLEASE OH PLEASE?!?!?! IS.....IS THAT... IS THAT SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS???? OH MY GOD THAT'S MY FAVORITE!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET ME HAVE SOME!!!!"
2. he drinks A LOT of water. i was a little nervous about that, i figured dammit!! he's got diabetes. so i read up on the internet and found out it could be due to an all dry food diet. i've been feeding him dry food because i thought that was healthier but i went ahead and fed him some canned food and then watched how much water he drank. it was significantly less than what he's been drinking, so i guess problem solved right there. i hope.
3. he pees and poops A LOT. i hope this canned food thingy means less pee cause jeezus, i've been cleaning is litter box at least 3 times a day. 3 TIMES A DAY!!! FOR ONE CAT!!! i don't want to walk in to the utility room and find poop on the floor so i guess you gotta do what you gotta do.
4. he watches tv, lays on his back and wants you to massage his paws. doesn't want to sit or lie (or is it lay? i always get those mixed up) on anything that isn't human.
5. i bought him a collar 2 or 3 days after he came to live with us and left a lot of slack on it, so much so i thought he'd just slip out of it but since then (3 weeks later) i've had to let it out twice. fucking fat head. i don't know how much weight he's gained but fuck!
6. i decided to name him sam but i didn't think that was a good enough name for him so i decided samson, but even that wasn't good enough so i decided samsonite. because it makes it sound like he's a super hero cat with special powers. (i'll see about action boots later zappy dude) :D
