I will share some thoughts that amused me today.
I have noticed that two of the main activities coordinated by the feminist group on campus (S.A.S.S.) have involved sex shops. These events are widely-publicized, so it is difficult for me to not to notice. The sex shop that the club is visiting next weekend is one "designed for women by women," which leaves some speculation to my mind... Nevertheless, I can't help but find it (somehow) funny that these women who talk about "not needing men" go on a 3-hour trip to purchase artificial representations of male genetilia (or at least what could be perceived of as phallic-like objects).
I am undergoing the feminine joy of bleeding right now and I thought to myself, "Geeze, I hate this." Then I thought, "This isn't fair. Women have to bleed to death and have painful pregnancies... Why don't men have to suffer?" After a while, I thought, "Eve was punished for her disobedience with terrible pain in childbirth...Adam was punished with the hardship of having to labor over the land and work in order to provide for his family... Now Eve must also work." Society frowns upon housewives or "trophy wives" and demands that women also be intelligent and "successful"... Eve must be punished two-fold compared to Adam!
