A list a movies I watched in the last two weeks while I was in the Chicago area:
* The Incredibles
* Blind Shaft (Chinese foreign film)
* Friend (Korean foreign film)
* Zatoichi (Japanese foreign film)
* Garden State
* Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
* Fight Club
* The Princess Bride
Fight Club sort of let me down. Everyone around me adored that movie so much that I was excited to see it. However, I was able to tell that the main character suffered from a form of multiple personality disorder halfway through the movie (this is a result of my mother working with mental health patients for several years; I was exposed to a lot of material during my childhood, including books like "The Osiris Complex"). It wasn't a poor movie, but it didn't blow my mind or provide any profound/intellectual revelations that I hadn't received before (Amadeus, you totally ruined that movie for me in terms in philosophy)...
After waking at 5:00 a.m. and travelling for 9-10 hours, I finally got home. I was in the middle of unpacking when my mother called and told me too cook dinner... There was almost nothing to cook with in the refridgerator... I was so disappointed. It's true my mother has never been good at being a mother, but she usually takes care of things like buying groceries. I cleaned the refridgerator today and went shopping for food. She makes me so upset sometimes. I'll vacuum the house tomorrow and clean some more.
Boy, it's great to be home. I want to go back to Chicago.
