America attacked Iraq unprovoked, yet got the support of a large number of people. It was under false pretexts, in the name of "national security". Bush claimed that they had chemical weapons. There has been nothing found, exposing his agenda for the lie that it was. This is one of the main reasons Bush has drawn the Hitler comparisions.

In the early 1930's, Hitler had his men bomb a government building called the Reichstag. He pulled a retarted Jew off the street and blamed him. Then he began to spread out, conquering countries and perpetrating a mass genocide of the Jewish race. Now how could Hitler get a whole country to support him when he was performing these atrocious acts? Every country he attacked, every person he killed, was in the name of national security. Sound familiar?

It has been proven that Iraq had nothing to do with the Al-Qaeda. Well, at least before the US invaded Iraq. I'm sure that our slaughter of many innocent Iraqi civilians has caused them to reach out to any means possible to get back at the US. Should there be any future attacks on the US by Iraq, it would be the fault of the American military for creating an enemy where once there was not one.

It was only a small percentage of the population that the atrocities you spoke of actually happened to, if it's not propoganda in the first place. Regardless of whether those terrible things happened or not, an oppressed society that does not rise up against their overseers are submitting to them, and a society that does nothing about a corrupt government deserves what happenes to them.

At least you where trying to back up your opinons with fact, unlike a lot of wanabee liberals of a younger age, that really have no clue as to whats going on and seem to be hating Bush, and going to protests simply because its the thing to do.
And although you bring up a couple of good points, like going into Iraq under false pretenses, But we kinda just left the first gulf war without finishing. And frankly, im quite glad that we finished up in there, regardless of what our original intentions where for going into Iraq.
I can see why people might compare Bush to Hitler, on account of the national security excuse. Despite all of this, I still dont think Bush is comparable to Hitler. And like I said before, I myself, am not a huge Bush supporter, and I was just bored out of my mind, and wanted an excuse to make fun of hippies.
But I thank you for a articulate response instead of what other might have put.
