A response to a response from Senator Patty Murray

Jan 29, 2009 12:33

Dear Senator Murray. It's good to see that you let some automated form do all of your work. I didn't want to have any false hope that you might actually read what I had to say. I understand that you are very busy but, back in the days, people actually had to read mail before they could send a canned response (and maybe, just maybe, that mail would sway their position one way or another). In case you do not remember our discussion, I've included some highlights below:

---------------------------------

Dear Mr. Bojangles:
Thank you for contacting me regarding the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). I appreciate hearing from you regarding this important issue.

As you know, in 2008 the American economy experienced a downturn led by falling home values and a record number of defaults on home mortgage loans...

[Blah blah blah]

... I will work with my colleagues to stabilize the economy and help Americans gain access to the loans and credit they need. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and concerns with me, and please feel free to contact me again.

I hope all is well in The 5th Level of Hell.
------------------------------------------------

I'll remember our nice discussion next time you're up for re-election.

-Tony-

P.S. Don't you even bother to put your name at the end of your emails? Just a hint, that makes it seem a little more personal.
