Welcome back! I completely understand the picture thing. I make a big effort to back up all of my pictures every so often onto dvds, in addition to them being stored on the external hard drive. It makes it easier when you have a laptop, and lots of blank dvds for burning stuff onto. I hope you get them back!
I figured it's something I am really good at and plus you make money. Even in a place like Durham the need for photographers is pretty high I talked with one guy who does freelance and he told me about how people who employee you for some of their jobs tend to favor you over a payroll photographer, and with you being your on boss unless you work for an agency you have more freedom. And it gives me more reason to bum around the darkroom at DSA. Thompson is so gonna murder me for coming back.
