I'm a Believer, again!

Nate and I did the impossible Wednesday and made it to the Guinness Believer event up at AmericasMart (where the Johnnie Walker tasting was last year) by 6:30 despite the absolute cluster fuck that was traffic on the south side. Nate told me that a motorcycle cop got ran over on 19/41, and they closed down all lanes for a while. The Guinness event was a lot like the one last year, except this time the finger food before the beer wasn't as good, but we got to make a half & half in addition to the free Guinness. And we got to keep the pouring spoons we used. Don't worry Kevin, I got an extra spoon for you. Then Scotty, Nate & I went down to the Hard Rock just because we could.

Today I finally found out how I'm getting back from Chicago after St Patrick's Day. I've had the ticket up there all year, but have been dragging my feet on the way back. I wasn't too worried since the worst case scenario is that I'm stuck in my home town for a few extra days surrounded by old friends. Ohh no! So Linda, Mike & Tina changed their moving day to that weekend, and I talked them into waiting a couple days, and then I can just go down with them. Now I get to see my friends & family, AND spend a long car ride with my sister, Mike, and my niece. It's been so long since I've made that drive. I rode up with Rhonda 2 years ago, but I didn't do any of the actual driving.
