Happy Autumnal Equinox

Happy Autumnal Equinox!

One is supposed to be able to balance an egg on its end at the exact moment of equinox; The spin of the earth is supposed to create equal pull between the north and south pole at that moment, somehow, and with the relentless force of gravity as a third, the eneven weight of the egg's yolk is balanced enough to stand on end within its ovate shell. Do you know anyone who has done this? I haven't in recent memory, but I think I did it once.

It surprises me, as I mentioned on the recent summer solstice, that this is not universally observed. It is a scientific fact that equinox occurs. Seems like it ought to unite diverse societies... Oh well.

The timing of my life happenings around this particular equinox make it a good day to observe balance in my own life, and release any anxiety from the past quarter or even past 6 months. There's been plenty of that, I won't go into details, but here's a short list: hated job, strife with friends, transportation issues, money issues.

BUT - I am looking towards a new job in another week, a new car in the near future, fruitfulness of recent money actions, an open calendar due to decisive actions by me and friends that releases me from those obligations for now, and opportunities I cannot even imagine coming in to fill the gaps.

I am not anxious, but rather disappointed at recent turns of events with some of my most important friends. And I fully expect time will reconcile all of that, though it may be a long time.

I know that I cannot change the will or beliefs of anyone except myself, and I am not [for a change] upset about that. WHEW!
