WTF moment
So, the world is ending. Did anybody else read about this? Apparently Fred Phelps is suing for his constitutional right to protest at funerals and you'll never guess who's helping him: the ACLU. That's right, probably the biggest gay rights supporter in the country, an organization infamous for its ties to the gay community and Fred Phelps, in bed together. I'm so confused. I mean, I suppose it is a good move for the ACLU making them seem like the good guy that they are even extending a helping hand to the devil himself, but...WHAT?!
In other news: I just realized how long my toes are.
And in other news: 2 more days of Sesame Place, and 2 weeks until Russia! RUSSIA!!!!!!AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I've also decided that I'm sick of the gender dichotomy. The guys at work invited me to smoke a cigar with them as a joke, and when I said yes they were suprised and laughed. I could tell that they really didn't want me interrupting on guy time. I think this is why I am friends with so many queer people. While I am definately a straight female, and I like having breasts (and although I'm loathe to admit it I like having a period, probably just because I'm used to it), I am not girly. And even though I spent a good part of my youth trying to fit in with the guys to get respect, I'm not manly either. In the gender spectrum I'm somewhere in the middle. And it's kind of hard to be like that and be straight. So...I'm just bitching, but I'm sick of the gender dichotomy and for those who've been trying to figure out how I'm straight yet queer at the same time, I think this is probably it. But few and far between are the people who fit into the gender dichotomy. However, many and most do try; I just haven't the desire to.
