Of floods and frustrations
It has been days since I last posted here. As you may have heard in the news, my country was hit by the heavy rains of the southwest monsoon, known here as Habagat. Manila, where I'm staying, became flooded that most of the universities there suspended the classes for THREE f*cking days! Yesterday , I went home to the province because even my Saturday class was suspended. Talk about a super duper long weekend! :D
Speaking of floods, me and my roommates were stucked in the dorm for that whole three days. I'm thankful that the family who owns the dorm runs a mini store in the first floor (we are at the second floor of a house) so we don't have to worry in terms of food supply unlike others who scrambled to the grocery in a mall, which caused heavy lines at the cashier area. We didn't dare to brave the floods because of the risk for Leptospirosis. Manila is a very dirty city(people spit, urinate, and throw garbage everywhere). Imagine all those bacteria-laden areas being filled with flood..Yikes! That's why those Australians and French foreigners who enjoyed the flood which circulated in facebook are sooo freaking stupid!
But the worst is that photos and meme of Filipinos enjoying the flood are circulating in facebook and those photos are f*cking popular!( I'm sorry for using the f-word again, it's just that I'm so disgusted by these acts of my fellow Pinoys) The photos were funny at first sight but later on I can't help but think that this country must straighten up and be disciplined greatly. I cannot bear to look at this natural disasters in a funny light because lives are being taken here! I know that being positive can be helpful in this depressing times,but experiencing these floods and typhoons for years makes me wonder why this country makes me feel that everytime there's a flood it's as if that is the first time of encountering one! With all the technologies and studies available now, the government and the people should have prevented at least 70% of the total damages. This country should really straighten up its act >:<

I'm kind of frustrated right now because it's really hard to make a decent post using an Iphone. My laptop was in another universe right now...Sigh T_T
I'm also not enjoying my new OS which is Ubuntu. Itunes,Ifunbox,Yahoo Messenger,and many more programs don't run in the Linux OS.Even though I installed Wine,a windows emulator to run those Windows/Mac programs, the apps won't function properly. I'm now reduced to using my ever reliable Iphone 3GS. Even though I can post here in lj, I cannot put my ever favorite emoticons from Photobucket. I really don't have any idea how to put them here.
I also realized only today that there's no issue of Jump this week so I haven't taken my dose of Naruto and One Piece. For a whole day last Wednesday, I kept on refreshing those mangas and like an idiot, I keep on wondering that the release may only be delayed by a few hours. What the heck! It's a week of waiting again T_T

I recently bought tickets for the annual CosplayMania here in Manila on September 29-30. Hopefully it will be an aweaome experience because I'm was disappointed by the last anime convention I attended last year.
Next week's the start of To the Beautiful You, Faith, and Arang and the Magistrate! O.O I can't wait! :D
