Before May ends, I'd like to post this lovely manga from one of my favorite mangakas ever.
It's English title is "Secrecy of the Shivering Night" which I surprisingly liked. It has this magical feel whenever I read those words aloud. Hahaha.
Synopsis:1) Secrecy of the shivering night
From
Attractive Fascinante:
After getting into high school, Furuya became roommate with the cute Himi. Himi keeps to himself and sleeps real early. A petite boy with a loud voice, Himi is terrified of darkness because of a tremor he suffered when he was a kid. On the other hand, Furuya is afraid of bright lights and gets real nervous when he’s feeling uneasy. How would they help each other to overcome the fears?
2) Only waiting for you
3) La-la. Bye bye
4) The innocence of a young bird
5) After that...

I loooove Ogura-sensei's stories and Himi is sooo cute. The art is at its best and the chibis are soo adorable. The stories didn't rouse me like some kind of a firework (that's a compliment). It's more like the feeling of watching a river flow gently under the hushed skies. It makes me feel calm, pleasant and any other synonyms I can put to that feeling. But it also made me blush with all its sweetness and long for more.
I don't regret buying this even though it's more of an impulse buy. When I saw this posted, I immediately bought this one and only copy from my local seller. Somehow, I feel that the materials used in book production are kinda cheap. The cover material reminds me of a regular cardboard. Compared to the ZE series I bought, the cover feels old for me. Maybe because this is quite an older release though. After all, I can't find it anymore in online retailers like Amazon and Bookdepository unless it's the kindle version which I won't buy because I already have a very good scanlated one.
Aside from that, I'm also not a fan of the template that June puts in its covers. I detest their way of shrinking the cover artwork making the template so artificial.
It looks as if they literally pasted their name which distracts the reader from fully admiring the beautiful art itself.
Oh well, beggars can't be choosers, noh? But still, I hope that June and DMP will improve its production.
I'm still annoyed that they moved their release schedule again, especially for Hana wa Saku ka, ZE, and many more titles I've already pre-ordered.
I don't live in the US so I also don't have the luxury of buying through Akadot and take advantage of free shipping there.
I'm also planning to buy Castle Mango but I'm quite conflicted because I want the Japanese tankoubon, too. It's because I'm planning to buy my first Japanese tankoubons around June 2014 so I might include Castle Mango in that purchase.
Well, let's see what will be my decision then.
