if you could only have one Bowie album, which one and why?

It's a very difficult choice. I find myself going back and forth between Scary Monsters and Outside. Those are my two favorite Bowie albums. Scary Monsters was one of the first Bowie albums I ever heard, and it has a frantic dark energy that I love. Outside was the first Bowie album I bought myself. They're both dark albums with strange insular

Heathen. Hard to say exactly why it's my favorite, but I just keep coming back to it. It flows, it's gorgeous. It's sad and uplifting at the same time. I love all periods of Bowie, but the later albums, from Heathen on to Blackstar, feel more personal.

That is an interesting choice. I do agree - I think the later albums were much more intimate somehow.
