That's right, the CDs are here, and I actually have them in my hands!!!
Me and my 25 to sell (and I should be damn near sold out at the Lumberton event) are heading to Wheeling, and I'll be selling them to the adoring masses.........ok, friends of mine. LOL
Hey, I'm proud as hell of this thing. Is it perfect? Nope! Is it unbelievably tight and ready to be put on a National stage? Probably not. But it captures us, our sound, our writing, and our musicianship. And I can 100% honestly say that when I hand it to the people who hand me $10? I 'm proud of it. Damn proud!
We played the music in one 5-hour recording session. 10 songs. I had to redo one bass part (2 measures) and Dougie redid one solo. That was it. It was us, raw and energetic. There's no double tracking of any music part, so what you hear from a guitar, bass and drum standpoint is three guys making noise (well, and Al on the acoustic on 2 songs - LOL). So, there ya go. We went from setup to finished CD in 12 days. I know bands who don't record 2 TRACKS in 12 days! So, yeah, pride baby. Lots of pride.
We should have these all sold by the end of the Dirty Jack's show on the 21st. Then, we can pay off the studio time, and order more! :) Online stuff, you're next!!
Off to Lumberton and to sweat and dodge raindrops!
Saluga - OUT!
