End of Year Reflections

Dec 31, 2005 19:30

*Stolen from ivanz; I hope you're not mad. :)

What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
A lot of things, all in random order. Got a job. Got the worst mark in my entire life (in Bio; funny how that's such a momentous event). Pulled an all-nighter. Went to a tournament for the first time and came away with three gold medals (all by default, HAHA). Bought my own pair of sais. Went to an anime convention (OHHHH YEAH). Got into anime. Got to Grade 12. Lots of things.

Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I never keep my New Year's resolutions; usually within a day or two I'd forget what they were. So...yes, I will make more for next year, one of them being to remember my resolutions.

Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.

Did anyone close to you die?
No.

What countries did you visit?
None; don't have a passport.

What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?
More willpower, self-motivation. Happiness!

What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
February 11th, March 18th. And May 14th. No one needs to know why. -_-

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Writing a (continuing) fic that somehow managed to receive 150+ reviews. (And if you're one of those people that contributed to that...THANK YOU ONCE MORE!! Chapter 5 will be up sometime next month. Expect a few one-shots too. ^_^;;)

What was your biggest failure?
Not doing as well in my studies as I wanted to do in Grade 11.

Did you suffer illness or injury?
Colds, hugeass bruises from being kicked in the shin, and the frequent scrapes and cuts.

What was the best thing you bought?
"Thing?" Probably my sais. AND MY NARUTO GLOVES/HEADBAND. XDDD

Where did most of your money go?
To manga/anime merchandise, books, gifts for people, other random stuff.

What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Animethon. I remember counting down the days to it, and anyone who read my other blog would agree with me.

Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder?
Sadder.
ii. thinner or fatter?
Fatter.
iii. richer or poorer?
Richer.

What do you wish you'd done more of?
Studying.

What do you wish you'd done less of?
Procrastinating.

Did you fall in love in 2005?
...perhaps...

What was your favourite TV program?
Haha, I don't watch tv. NARUTO <3.

Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No. Should I be hating somone?

What was the best book you read?
I don't read novels anymore, but perhaps Furies of Calderon by Jim Butcher (which I still have 100 pages to go)

What was your greatest musical discovery?
J-pop. XD.

What did you want and get?
My own cd player. Internet on the computer in the basement. A better computer in the basement.

What did you want and not get?
Honours with Distinction. A calmer state of mind. An mp3 player that I can call my own.

What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
17. I'm not saying.

What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
There being a lack of problems would have been more than enough.

What kept you sane?
My friends - the ones who bothered to ask me what was wrong and was willing to hear me out and be with me when things got very, very, very bad. Who knows what I'd have done if it weren't for them.

Who did you miss?
People in Singapore (as always).

Who was the best new person you met?
People off ff.net, which total to two so far, lol.

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005.
It's not always a good idea to show emotions.
