Blah #4
I just realized I could actually read katakana now (!!!)
Just looking around at the pictures on the website for the upcoming Inuyasha PS2 RPG (!!! happy happy joy joy), I happened to glance at the text, and read my first katakana words: "original characters". So I kept reading, and figured out every katakana word on that page...a small, but neat little milestone.
Now if I just had more than an embyo's japanese vocabulary--I can read hiragana fast now, but I don't know what most of the words mean! ;P Well, at least now that I have all the kana memorized decently, I can start on the (shudders) kanji...

The wonderful new little grocery store, with it's little sushi-making section, also had JAPANESE MAYONNAISE!!! Wheeeeeeee! I see some tasty broiled bologna sandwiches in my future (and no, that's not sacrilege--it's gooooood, really!)

*grrrr* My tummy's unhappy at the moment...I'll definitely come back later to check out Eve's blog, but I (literally) gotta go now! >P
