*Matt Garza is dreamy*
So I am sitting here at the coffee shop, away on a work retreat to make up for all the mindless hours lost during the week, when ever-so-casually do I spot the newspaper sports section on an adjoinding table (/ dig through the crumpled up newspaper hidden over in the corner). What is on the front page but "Raiders Rule! - Cretin Derham Hall rallies to win its 11th state baseball championship". ...Can you believe it. I want to go desecrate their bushes with a chopper. Then, in the side column, "Twins slammed, shaken" with a picture of Scott Baker sporting probably the best Scott Baker face I have ever seen. Really, he is so good-looking. WHY are all his photos of a strained, twisted expression??? In this one his eyes are half closed and looking up, zombie-like, and his mouth is half open and looks drooling. They're talking about kicking him out and putting Garza in, and I was like "GARZA?!?! Hell yes!!" Get rid of that angsty sap. I'm afraid he might kill himself or something!
Underneath it all, there is a poll that says "Should Joe Mauer switch from catcher to a less taxing position?" with a YES majority. That is just so ridiculous. I hope Joe gets slammed tonight with a ball in response to that Poor Joe attitude.
!-Have found partner in crime-! My cousin found out I've been going to Twins games this week, and has extra tickets to tonight's game. He's a total Twins long-hauler, and so it's nice knowing there is a family presence ;)
