ugh
so today we were practicing and i had all the shit set up for my effects and what not and james had to leave early so we were like, well fuck what can we do? so we were playing with or without you (u2) and i was like, this delay doesn't sound right. we got the timing right with the tap tempo and whatnot and then i was like, hmmmmmmm it's still not right, so i hooked up the panning out to patrick's amp and my amp and HOLY CRAP. it was the coolest thing i've ever heard. plus it sounded just like the song
so now i want to get another amp, but i don't have the money to spend on one and i really don't need one other than that sounded so awesome i can't even take it. if i can sell my ibanez, maybe i'll look into getting another amp.
andy's going to finish up the router and all of that shit this week, so eventually all i'll have on the floor will be my midi control board, which will then control all of my pedals (thanks to the router) and my reverb processors (one for guitar, one for keyboard). i'm so glad andy knows how to set all of this up because i would have no clue. i need to sell my one processor and then hopefully get the money from that and sell my current footswitch to get a better one, because this one is laaaaaame to the max.
the songs are coming along. we're going to start practicing twice a week possibly this week, so hopefully everything will be awesome by the show. there are a few songs that are pretty iffy, so if they remain iffy, they get axed. we need to practice with patrick there so i can sing and we can just run through the sets a million times. blarrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh
