My own two hands will comfort you tonight.
Say When
She kisses him hungrily, fingers in his hair and on his face, and teeth and lips and pressure. She kisses him like there is no tomorrow. Tomorrow's sunrise brings fire to Hollow Bastion, her body tells him.
She presses him to the wall, and her fingers navigate down to shake at the center line of his cloak. She finds the pull, the zipper goes down. The sound is a break in the still air. He shrugs it off his shoulders and feels his fingers find her own zipper.
She grits her teeth, hisses when he touches her ribcage, bringing the white shirt up. He doesn't touch her like the others of his kind would. He is not the Apprentices, he is not a traitor. He was once just a man, is still one. He lived once, lives now, but only in brief shuddering glimpses.
He slows her down like time itself. There is no fire coming for her in the morning.
