Kibum wanders over to the kitchen and sets his glass on the counter, glancing at Jinki who is washing some dishes in silence. This is perfect. The others are all out at a schedule, and Kibum has something he’s been wanting to tell Jinki for a long time.
He clears his throat and goes to open the fridge, not looking for anything in particular, just stalling. He stands there wasting electricity for a few minutes before getting frustrated. Isn’t he supposed to be the confident one? He shuts the fridge and turns to Jinki, but doesn’t look directly at him. “Hyung.”
Jinki doesn’t answer.
“Hey. I’m going to skip all the bullshit and just say this now. I like you. A lot.”
Still no response.
“...I just needed to say that.”
Jinki sets another dish in the cupboard.
“Hyung, can you even hear me? …Jinki!” And finally Jinki’s face lights up like he’s noticed something, when he looks at Kibum and pulls the headphones out of his ears. What? He could have sworn he didn’t see those before…
“Did you say something, Kibum?”
“…Nah.”
This can wait a little longer.
