Round Five: Vices
Welcome to the Fifth Round of The Sentinel Slash Ficathon!
This round is set to celebrate our dear Detective Ellison's short career as a member of Vice. Now before you start to worry, this isn't a theme requiring you to write a Vice department story. (Although if you decide to write that, you certainly may.)
Rather the prompts are going to be based on 'vices' that some people have. You will be given three prompts for this ficathon: a Drink, a Dessert, and a Drug.
An example prompt would be something like this:
Drink: Tom Collins
Dessert: Cherry Pie
Drug: Zantac (And you thought they were all going to be hard-core drugs)
Your prompts are yours to play with in any manner that you choose.
Now that I've rambled on enough, here are the specifics:
Rules:
1. This is a slash ficathon, so no het or gen fic, though your fic may be any rating and any genre.
2. There is no maximum word length, but stories should be completed and at least 1,000 words.
3. You may use your prompts however you like. Just because the theme is "Vice," you don't have to include the Vice Department anywhere in your story.
4. You do not need to have a LiveJournal account to participate in the Ficathon, but you must have the ability post your story somewhere on the web that is accessible to readers. (No password protected pages, friends only entries, etc)
Dates:
1. Sign-ups will be open from Tuesday, April 28th through Wednesday, May 13th.
2. Prompts will be posted here at ts_ficathons on or before Saturday, May 16th. The prompt assignments will be public as they were in prior ficathons.
3. Stories should be finished by Saturday, July 11th - giving you the eight weeks to write your story. If you are done early, please do NOT post your story until July 12th.
4. The master list entry will be posted on Sunday, July 12th. At this time you can begin to post your stories and provide me with a link via commenting on the master list post.
Due to people's schedules and time differences, etc, you will have one week to post your story. All entries should be posted by Saturday, July 18th at which time I will finalize all the links to the master list.
