Scene 4: Upside-down, round and round,
My moving plans are in a clothes drier. I'm looking at a larger list of places. I have a guarantor now should I need one, likely will, and I'm looking at cheaper while at the same time closer to entertainment, but farther away from work (not compared to now, just compared to previous moving plans). The catch is that close to work = bad, since that means high risk of being called in on weekends or whathaveyou, plus there will be no savings because the only reason transport costs are paid for is because of a legal obligation, which rent isn't related to (even though they are actually supposed to help with that too, by law). Now I'm looking at West Side areas, names East Nakano (most options), Shinjuku (where cheap exceptions apparently exist), Ochiai, Ikebukuro, Gokokuji, and Shimo-Kitazawa. The last one there is a hard fit, popular (=expensive) area, although not exa~ctly central (it's not that far from Shibuya though). These are mostly clustered around the base of the tail of the Oedo Line, which still makes things pretty conveninent. Was out all afternoon/evening yesterday with Yamada, less than half of the time spent harassing real-estate agents, the remainder spent either eating or checking out some new high-tech toys. Interesting way to spend the day when the person you're spending it with is your boss.
I have been buying clothing lately. Got some new shirts finally, and I even have a white T-Shirt. Yes, I wear a white T-Shirt, with large (clearly legible) gothic english characters written across it reading "Fuck Off and Die!". That, ladies and gentlemen, is one of the few ways to get me to wear a white T-shirt. Also got new casual shoes, as my non-work shoes have for a long time been in ass condition. Thinking about grabbing pants, but they're expensive fuckers in my size. Might hold off on that, not too desperate for those, except summer is coming...
