I used to consider myself a lucky little bastard with the respect that I have no allergies...
This is to be ammended to
In Canada: TRUE!
In Japan: FALSE!
My left eye had been extremely irritated throughout Sunday, and quite red too. It's still de-redifying itself today, although with quick and noteworthy progress over one night's sleep (albeit broken sleep, the irritation risks my eye being encrusted shut, quite distusting). It is luckily no longer irritated though. I'm guessing some form of pollen I encountered on Saturday tripped it as I slept into Sunday, the location is likely the Meiji Shrine grounds, as that's the only place I could have encountered a fuckload of pollen or other allergy-initiating garbage.
Top that off with a sore throat throughout Friday, which has made an attempted but apparently thwarted comeback on Sunday night (I could still feel it strongly this morning, but has since ceased as I downed 2L of water before leaving for work).
Ugh! This is the karma counterbalancer, I guess... could be a lot worse, and has been worse, too. Top this off also with the cold in January. Arg!
However, I've been in good spirits nonetheless. "Entertaining" reading XD.
Expect a significant post soon. The Japanese Language Proficiency Test results are starting to trickle in. Some people at the guest house have already had theirs arrive. Mine's on a redirect, so it is only natural that it take a little longer. Visa gets picked up tomorrow. Gotten other issues taken care of but there's always more that comes up. I'm starting to think about the next time I land on Canadian soil, and if I can coordinate it or not with my parents' visit there (would be ideal, and is a potentially realistic possibility). Other loose ends remain before I can think about that seriously though. Next post - shouldn't be as long a silence this time. ^^
