Wow... I just could not be any happier right now. Beyond the outcome, beyond the promise of Bush finally leaving office in two months so we can get this country back on track, I am in awe of how many people got out and voted. Republican, Democrat, Independent - I really don't care, because they participated and that's what matters. We woke up from our political apathy to the knowledge that, yes, we do have power and we exercised it. It gives me so much hope for the future.
For those I've come across who are now terrified, convinced our country is doomed, I'm sorry. I hope we can change your minds because disagreements aside, this is our country and the government should represent all of our interests as fully as possible.
So, again, thank you to everyone who went out today and earned their 'I Voted' sticker. It's an honor and a privilege to call you my fellow citizens
