I avoided spoilers - supposedly Jensen gave some out that wrecked the end for people - so I was surprised at the end. Though, I was expecting him to come back - Mark of Cain - Cain was cursed with immortality with the mark - I just wasn't expecting him to be all black demon eyed.
the only thing i'd seen (as i've been avoiding huge-ass spoilers) was that Jensen said it was an eye-opener, Misha said it was chilling, and Jared said he cried.
i love it now -- that Jensen said it was an eye-opener. hee!
also, do you remember somewhere from S3, i think it was, where Ruby (maybe) said how someone becomes a demon?
I'm remembering how Dean nearly did in Hell - he made the choice to get off the rack and start torturing - didn't Ruby say that was how it happened, you make the choice to turn? Not much different than Dean making the choice to take the mark and use the blade. Obviously the blade works faster and twists the soul in the same way. Does that mean that God meant for being a demon to be a curse? I suppose it's supposed to - after all, people who go to hell are being punished for their sins, and Cain was being punished with the curse for killing his brother... But somehow the demons have learned to enjoy it, accept it. Except for Cain. He seems like he really did see it as a curse... Maybe it's something about how Lucifer figured out how to turn them beginning with Lilith?
But somehow the demons have learned to enjoy it demons do seem to have more fun. hee.
i thought somewhere though, a demon had told Dean that when a soul goes to Hell, it gets corrupted and after years and years, it finally turns into a demon.
maybe the First Blade and the Mark of Cain work together to speed that up. and Dean has been dead inside for a long, long time. so... yeah.
