Vampire Diaries
so the Other Side (until the very end of the episode, anyway) so totally reminded me of the Dark Dimension from the books (the Return series).
which, once i'm finished my current library book (Moriarty Returns a Letter by Michael Robertson) i'll be starting to reread my Vampire Diaries books. i've read up to Phantoms, but don't really remember everything that happened, so to make it easier on my sieve-for-a-memory, i'm just rereading everything from the beginning.
they are:
*The Original series (the Awakening, the Struggle, the Fury, Dark Reunion) by LJ Smith
*The Return series (Nightfall, Shadow Souls, Midnight) by LJ Smith
*The Hunter series (Phantom, Moonsong, Destiny Rising) by an unknown ghost writer
*The Salvation series (Unseen, Unspoken, Unmasked) by Aubrey Clark
everything i've seen online says that Unmasked is the series finale for the books, so i've got 'em all.
eventually, i want to get the "fanfic" that LJ Smith is writing. it starts after Midnight (The Return III) and goes in the direction she wants it to go. the first two are out on Amazon in their Kindle Worlds line, and part of the The Evensong series: Paradise Lost & The War of Roses. as the line suggests, they are e-books only, which is part of my hesitation, as i'm one to prefer paper books. but, we shall see. she also says she'll finish out her story to her end. no idea how many books that will be!
