hiatus happens
over on twitter at the end of february, someone tweeted to Nathan Fillion why we had to wait 3 weeks for the next new episode of Castle. he tweeted back, " Because it takes longer to make them than to watch them."
so that's my answer too when someone mentions their show is on hiatus.

still on hiatus this week: Castle, Hawaii Five-O, Revolution, Supernatural, Vampire Diaries
however: Cult is new, Once Upon a Time is new, Psych is new.
Vampire Diaries is back march 14th. Castle and Hawaii Five-O are back March 18th; Supernatural is back March 20. Revolution is back March 25! yaaay!
so, in conclusion, it takes longer to make shows than to watch them, hiatus happens, and your mileage will vary.
