so i like to click. it's fun! and you never know where you're going to end up. the last time, my clicking lead me to a book called How to Live Safely in a Science Fictional Universe, by Charles Yu.
his narrator is a time travel technician who lives/travels/works in a TM-31 Recreational Time Travel Device:The base model TM-31 runs on state-of-the-art chronodiegetical technology: a six-cylinder grammar drive built on a quad-core physics engine, which features applied temporalinquistics architecture allowing for free-form navigation within a rendered environment, such as, for instance, a story space and, in particular, a science fictional universe.
Or, as Mom used to say: it's a box.
his companion is a dog of sorts, that was "retconned out of some space western."
i read that line, and pretty nearly laughed out loud, what with everyone calling retcon on Supernatural these days....
anyway. i'll try to keep everyone updated, as the narrator travels through time and eventually meets... himself. =)
