for 2011, i started reading 110 books. i finished 109, but i didn't really read all of Love in the Time of Cholera, by Gabriel García Márquez... it got very slow in the middle, so i skipped a lot of pages.... and even though i read the last 20-30 or so pages, i have no idea how it ended. *sigh*
anyway, 108 is a tough number to beat, let's see if i can do it for 2012.
currently, as we start 2012, i'm reading Driven to Ink by Karen E. Olson. it's about Brett Kavanugh, a red-head woman in Las Vegas who owns a tattoo shop. this is Olson's third novel in the Tattoo Shop Mystery series (#1 being The Missing Ink, #2 being Pretty in Ink). Brett just sort of finds herself in these situations where someone goes missing, or dead bodies end up in the trunk of her car..... her brother is a detective on the LVPD, and Brett's housemate as well. i also have the next book in the series, Ink Flamingos, ready to go.
after these, i have Sisters of the Raven and Circle of the Moon by Barbara Hambly (who wrote the Star Wars novels Children of the Jedi and Planet of Twilight).
and somewhere at the beginning of the new year, i'll get Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson from the library. =)
