Downgrading to Plus?

Dec 22, 2011 22:26

i have some thinking to do about LJ.

while i'm happy they fixed that awful layout margin with flexible squares, they totally wreaked havoc on the commenting system on non-customized pages (or "LJ header pages," as i call them.)

one thing that they took off of the new commenting system was the Preview button for comments. to "compensate" for this, they gave ALL accounts the ability to Edit comments. this was, prior to today, a paid-account only feature.

since the customized comment pages are a feature on the Plus accounts, and now so is the Edit feature, it may be time to say goodbye to my paid account. it currently expires at the beginning of February, so i have some time to decide.

to help me do that, i have some questions.

when the paid account expires, does it revert to Free or Plus? since it was Plus before it was upgraded (by an awesome generous Anonymous person for the first time some years ago) to Paid.

for icons: i know the Plus account has 15, with the ability to pay for 15 more. my question is, once i pay for 15 more so i have 30, can i now pay for more with the Plus account, or is my Plus account locked at 30 icons forever?

for Scrapbook: you get 2GB of space with Paid, 1GB of space with Plus, and pretty much negligible space with Free, if any. since i have 36MB of space used already, i'll be all right with the Plus account. BUT if it reverts to the Free account and then i upgrade it back to Plus, will my graphics still be there, or will i have to re-upload them all again?

thanks for reading, if you've gotten through my technical stuff.
