book diet

1*i finished reading Night Terror by John Passarella. and now i want to see some of Sam's nightmares of Sammy vs Souless!Sam in the show. =) oh wait - Aphrodite says they might be showing some of Sam's memories from Hell, and now - of course - there's that segment of fandom who says it's not fair that Sam might get his memories told and Dean didn't get that chance. all i have to say to these people is don't make me pull out my Storytelling posts again.

especially that part about they might be - who's to say what makes it into the final cut of the episodes? as i told Aphrodite, there seems to be a disconnect in some of these fans - what Sera & Co say they're thinking about doing, or they'd like to do ends up getting "translated" by some rabid fans that they will be doing that and they are going there. uh... no, that's not what Sera & Co said. yeesh.

2*i've started this little book called Star Wars: From the Adventures of Luke Skywalker, maybe some of you heard of it? my copy says some guy named George Lucas wrote it. (Alan Dean Foster is nowhere on the book, btw.)

According to the List of Star Wars books that tpeej linked me some time ago, Allegiance by Timothy Zahn is next chronologically. according to the books, Star Wars is ©1976, and Allegiance is ©2007. there's probably things referenced in Allegiance that have been written in prior books that i'm not supposed to know about yet (like Mara Jade, for starters.)

the question is this: if i read Allegiance right after Star Wars, do i get spoiled for anything that i'm not really supposed to know? (again, Mara Jade. i know who she is and what happens later in her life (probably in Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zahn, or that trilogy, is my guess.))

thanks! =)
