variations on a theme! what's it good for? nothing!
*ok, so there's a v-gift of a Headless Teddy in the shop. so? people are weird. we like movies like My Bloody Valentine. :)
*apparently there's a TON of remakes in the works, i don't even know all of them, but they're all over my flist. the one i DO remember is Hawaii Five-O, because they want Alex O'Loughlin in it. hell, i'll watch it for Alex. besides, i've heard it said there's only like 6 main plots and everything else is a variation on a theme.
*speaking of variations on a theme, there's a new Sera interview out that's apparently spoilery, so i didn't read it. maybe i should, since i've seen indirectly it talks about new characters, current characters; and to some people, a lack of a character.
first, if there's new characters, *yaaay* Expanding World of the Winchesters! second, if there's more on current characters, maybe they're filling in characters' backstories. (*gasp* we don't want to know any more about Castiel. or Zach. or Bobby. the show is about Dean and Sam! no one else is allowed!!) yeesh. gods forbid they bring back Meg again. or Sarah. or Cassie. or Cara. how about Missouri?
last, lack of a character? lack of a character to me means more of someone else. more backstory. can't say more without spoiling the few things i DO know. i'm sure at some point there'll be spoilers in the comments. i hope, anyway.
*again, speaking of variations on a theme, try reading Dean Koontz's Breathless. it's his usual weird fare, but out of a 72-chapter book, somewhere around chapter 40 he introduces someone completely new. chapter 40!
*i think it's rant day on LJ, and i'm finished. this will remain public unless it gets crazy. and as usual, your mileage WILL vary....
