started with the Magnificent Seven today.
J had "helped" me out shortly before this aired, when i was working on my
mythology post with links for this episode. i mentioned the Seven Deadly Sins, and she said that sounded like the stuff in Pandora's Box. so those links are there too.
i still liked that they brought in other hunters with other information and other little tricks that worked on demons too.
i pointed out to the girls to listen to how Dean told Sam about the Deal at the end. J got it - that Dean told Sam if "we" try to back out of the Deal, Sam dies. the Crossroads Demon told Dean that if "he" backs out, Sam dies. and as i said in my original review, Dean didn't want to get out of the Deal, and he doesn't want anyone helping him out either.
in my original review, i called the girl with the knife MysteryGirl. (yeah, Sam's stalker, too.) the girls are trying to figure out - and they think they do know - who MysteryGirl is. i told them i do know, but i have to keep some secrets. i know we find out what MysteryGirl is at the end of 3x02 ("don't be such a racist, Sam!"), but when do we learn her name on-screen?
the one thing they kinda dropped but i think should have done more with was Isaac and Tamara's reactions to the brothers: "we don't want to work with you - you're the ones that opened the gate in the first place!"
i wish the season had been allowed to have its allotted 22 epsiodes though. i would have liked to see Sam get Dean out of the Deal. (btw, who's got the source interview where Eric said that? ETA - see the first comment!)
