Piss Off AT&T

Nov 13, 2007 15:10

I missed a payment on a card I've had for 17 years. It's the first missed or late payment in years...like at least 10. It was already the highest interest rate at 13%. I work hard to keep my credit good.

So I paid the card off and sent them a little letter of love:

I make one late payment and you rape me by 9% interest after the number of years I've been a customer? You were already the highest interest rate credit card I have at the 13% (compare that to the 11.5% fixed of my main card). Now 22% for overlooking a payment at a busy time in my life.

Guess which credit card gets to be my "emergency back up card" sitting in my drawer collecting dust instead of having it's magnetic strip melt off from Christmas purchases as soon as my $20K back insurance check clears?

Just when I was starting to use the card more, too. And I really wasn't doing it for the silly ass points because I see no real "deal" in that. So I've paid the balance, something I did quite easily. Kindly get yourselves a copy of Customer Service for Dummies.

Pissed Off,
Karen L. Dolley
