I wrote an article at some point, about those connections. Eerie little things such as Dionysos being born in the same town where the cedars were taken to build the doors of the Holt Temple in Jerusalem, sharing epithets like "inneffable." And other, smaller things.
I think the unfortunate fact is that everyone is always horrified by everything. Unless you are canvasing with like, a picture of yourself peeing on a Sefer HaTorah, I wouldn't worry about what observant Jews think. And unless you are running smear campaigns against other Hellenic groups, they have about as much reason to bitch I I have to wear a cock ring.
Speaking of smear campaigns and attack adds, you should read John Hodgman's _Areas of My Expertise_ -- I was going to write a Hodgman style attack add about a Hellenic group to illustrate what you should not do, yet my good sense overides that impulse.
Instead, I will do the unthinkable, and quote my mother, the Christian minister: "If it ain't illegal, and it ain't immoral, what's the problem? People need to take the sticks out of their asses"
