"Even if you were my swimming buddy, we'd just die holding hands."

Don't fret Sox fans, despite losing 2 of 3 to the flubbies to tie the season series with them, the Sox are still in fact in fine shape. Keeping our nose to the grindstone and winning series is all we need to worry about with our massive 9.5 game lead, unlike the cubs who still have some doin' to get done if they wanna fight it out for the wild card. In fact, this came over the wire this weekend from Twins center fielder Tori knock-Jamie-Burke-on-his-ass-and-ruin-the-Sox-in'-04 Hunter.

"We can't keep up with the White Sox -- they're ripping through everybody. They've got the best record in the major leagues. If people say we need to keep up with the White Sox, then we've got no chance."

In other news, in the words of Tracy Torres, I really am savoring the summer. I'm lukewarm about Wisconsin in the fall but I'm loving it right now. I don't mind getting up early too much and it's kinda cool to do manual labor. There's been hella bonfires, bottle rockets and other fun diversions with friends, not to mention Ted Leo, the Sox on July 4th and Lollapalloza (yeah, that's right, fuck yeah!). So I guess what I'm trying to say is I hope everyone's enjoying it as much as me.
