The 219 & the 718
I've really been fine since Silas & I came back to NYC after Christmas. I had a couple of instances where I longed for Maddy & my sister Cassie (the two that do typically tug at my heartstrings) for the first time last week, but I dealt with them well & got past it quickly without getting sad. Then today for my Weather & Climate course, they handed out a map of the States to see if we could name them all (I named them all really easily, btw. I'm smart). After I had it all filled out, I started actually looking at it & my eyes started welling up with tears. I really am so very far from home. Ordinarily, I try not to think about the distance, because the distance is what makes my living out here an issue. I miss Indiana today. Badly. But I am coming to much better terms with where I am.
