Oh, don't, not for this one: I feel awful about it. I truly dislike using other people's ideas at all, ever, and to realise what I'd done... ouch. Which sounds horrible in itself, because shoofus mentioned this ages ago and I really had to think around what to do, and then thought I was clear.

- eh, I'll shut up now! But I could have done with realising, you know, last week. However, yes, more to come, and all my own ideas too. :)

Oh my god, is this an inadvertent sequel to Fleshflutter's fic as well as to Lot 607? I just got to the part where Jared meets *spoilers*, and I...I...oh, damn, I'm sorry for the awful feelings it's causing you, I really am--

--BUT MY LIFE, IT IS NOW COMPLETE.

No, is the short answer. (I rather think you jolly well ask first about something like that?)

I am glad your life is complete, though!

Okay, I've finished now, and whoa, does this fic give me conflicted feelings. I hated the Jared in Lot 607, and I still do, but now I have a sort of grudging admiration for him, too. He's so grimly determined to make his way in this "new" world, and I don't really doubt that he has the ability to do so. I also can't help but wonder about his future, can't help but be interested in his story--has he been socialized into being a sexual predator? Or is that a part of his intrinsic nature? In any case, I'm terrified at the idea of him being out in the general population. Or around Jensen ( ... )

Yeah, I know. I had a fascinated, gleeful, horrible fascination with the Jared of Lot 607 (and tried just a little around the edges to sneak in shreds of stuff other than kink?) but this one... this one I find rather more worrying. I think he's got that almost abstract desire to find out how things work, and those things for him are people's physical bodies as well as the mechanics of business. He's going to learn the sexual mores of this new world, and then he's going to transgress them because he can.

After Dean, this Jensen? ... I'm *fairly* sure, no. I think, eventually, he's going to want someone else who can meet him on the same level. Actually, that was a thought that chilled a little - I wonder if he'll go after Dean again, later? I can see it happening.

Yes to Dean and Alistair, that's exactly what I thought too.

- thank you for that last comment too. You are right, I'm wincing, and I'd left it far too late to actually do anything about it, and could only bear to skim to confirm. But it *was* the prison that concerned me

I couldn't bring myself to read too deeply into Lot 607, as medical play is pretty much one of my bulletproof squicks, but this fic allowed me to engage (and have fun) with this particular Jared's characterization. And the idea that Jared might take it upon himself to go after Dean--that's fucked up, dude, and absolutely terrifying. And brilliant, did I mention brilliant? Because the idea of this Jared trying to take on Dean as a hunter, take on Dean at his best?

ASDGFAHSDGHA;LSKDHGF!!!

I'm picturing it as this epic cat-and-mouse game, with Dean possibly bringing out the maliciously gleeful side of himself (that we usually only see when he's killing monsters). Because now I'm wondering how much of Dean's earlier passiveness as a prisoner was due to him waiting Jared out. (But then I can't help but think that just as Jared gleans whatever satisfaction he can out of the sport, boom, game over--Sam comes out of nowhere and kills him. Bwhaha.)

Oh, you are so totally right about Lot 607 Dean waiting Jared out. Absolutely. And indeed, epic cat and mouse, because this Jared is not going to go for Dean until he is completely prepared - the skills, the knowledge, the weapons, the back-up - the money, which Dean doesn't and never will have. And yes, this Jared's going to think he can win. He knows he can.

And, so right (crumbs, weren't we here before on that genderswap fic, Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen? You were just as stunningly brilliant about people then!) about Dean's gleeful reaction. This Jared has *no* idea what he's really facing. And definitely no idea about Sam, because I think Sam is seriously, seriously pissed. And when Sam finally cracks... eh, can you see Dean being all, dude, I knew exactly what I was doing, what d'you mean, he had me handcuffed to the bed? Ten more seconds and I would have had him -

That's the point where Sam slams Dean up against the wall and fucks him stupid. And then Sam tattoos his ass.

... or least, that's my version!

Oh bother it, meant to say, totally get you about medkink. I think the same about foodkink. Not horror, just, what about the sheets???
- someone's going to write something brilliant and persuade me at some point though, I know it.
