Right let's go
Hey.
A couple of months ago, I made a post about ten years in fandom. I mentioned then that I'd wanted to have ten stories ready to post at that point, and I hadn't quite managed it.
I have now. In fact, this might be the moment to defriend, because I really am posting one a day up to July 22nd. And at that point, I'm uploading the .pdf zine for all of them, plus a couple of bonus stories. Oh, and a masterpost. If you're still here, there's loads of stuff - just about 100k of words: lots of J2 (because I'm having fun writing J2 AUs at the moment), the two help_japan stories I've owed for ages - Earthsea and Harry Potter - a coldfic RPS, an American Idol RPS, an adaptation of The Well of Loneliness. I really am paying off my fandom debts here: there's the one J2 sequel I promised to write, for Sin-eater, a few more prompts, a challenge I didn't complete finally done....
You'll not be surprised to hear that, having nearly finished, I then signed up for a couple of other fests. So, given I've got a due date of 1st August, I'm warning you now - if you'd like to comment on any of these posts, I'm seriously unlikely to reply until I've finished this gift fic. Sorry. But if I don't post now, I won't post until November.
But people, I have to tell you that everyone who's worked - and is working - on these stories has been absolutely brilliant. There are story-specific thanks, and zine specific thanks, but I just want to mention now that betas unovis_lj and doro have been absolutely superb. I'm pretty sure that when doro took on two of the J2 stories she had no idea she was actually betaing a hundred thousand words. (Crumbs. That looks a lot when you write it out like that!)
