So earlier this week I sent Caleb a letter. And in that letter (as a joke, mind you), I put a condom. I sent him a myspace message telling him not to open it in front of his parents. His parents are very Christian and very VERY conservative.
He opened it in front of his parents.
It gets better.
His FATHER (not his mother who I could deal with) then proceeds to call me. That was the most awkward conversation I have EVER had with an adult. It was horrible. He said it was innappropriate and Caleb was a good boy and so on. At least he wasn't yelling, and at least we weren't face to face. And I was always the friend they liked best. Ten points to me for fucking up those relationships. So I told him it was just a joke and I was sorry if I upset or offended anyone. He was using the dissapointed voice too, which made it all the more worse. He said goodnight and we hung up.
Needless to say, I'm not showing my face around there for a couple of months. By my own choice of course; they'd never officially ban me. It's like my second home. Hence the extreme awkwardness.
And I'm never writing him another letter (even a condom-less one!)
All this over one extra-large rubber. Shit......
