Happy New Year to me!
It is going to be 4.30am and I am writing this silly journal. Went to my "friends" Retro Year end party. All the guests are supposed to wear 70s and 80s retro stuff.I do not want to go the party from the begining. But one of my "friends" said that I am close to him and he wants to spend year end with his close friends. He will be upset if I dont turn up and pay $30 (which some of them are not required to pay). So as a full blooded Singaporean I obediently compiled. I drove all the way from Jurong to Loyang, missed a turn and keep going round and round. At last I reached the Chalet at 5.45pm. I am one of the earliest! I should get an obedient award.
All the guests arrive at about 11pm and the event only start by then... Everyone is given 2 stickers, to chose their favour cutesy or best dress. I for once voted for myself and asked all my friends to vote for me. This is what I will never do in the past. I actually gathered quite a lot of stickers! THE POINT IS I am not even in the top 3 list! However I am in the wallflower and slut of the year list, which i am the runner up. I am sure there are alot of more deserving sluts there.
I reckoned I have been a clown in 2006 to bring happiness to all my "friends". I spent the count down to 2007 in my car alone - reflecting. I always wanted to be a nice guy, wanted people to like me. BUT for what? I do not need to be nice to anyone, I do not need people to like me (most of them just want sex anyway).
In 2007, my resolution is to
1. Make full use of my time. Not to be like 2006 just idle my time away.
2. Not to wait for anyone who is late, I never later for any apppointment so you should not too.
3. Do not be needy. I am a good catch, I do not need to find people. Fate will do the job. Single is wonderful too!
4. Select friends wisely. AND Of coz, I do not need to be an open book. I should keep my own secrets.
