Boy am I lazy
I need to get with the program here and do this on a regular basis. Okay enough about that.
Tomorrow we leave for Ohio and Pennsylvania. It will be a wild day tomorrow. Starting at 4:00 AM, leaving around 5 AM, moving van, husband and two young men (Josh and Aleksey). I hope the drive goes all right. Looks like we will hit lots of rain up north. Plus much cooler temperatures. I think my body will go into shock. Then Saturday we move Mum into her new place. I should try to remember to pack some Ben Gay or Icy Hot. We'll need it.
Mitch goes to Spain on MOnday. He needs to go and blow some major big time stink off of himself. He's been so crabby lately. I'm sure it's directly attributable to his going there, and the worry it's bringing down on him. But we'll be fine.
Aleksey and his settling in is going just fine so far. He's been talking a lot about going to college here. This brings a whole new set of worries for me, but nothing I'm getting upset about. I'll have to talk to his counselor and teachers at school to see if we can pursue this. The sweet kid asked me yesterday what I thought about him being a tennis player as his life profession. He's never even had a racket in his hands yet. This language thing can be insurmountable sometimes. I was as patient as I could be explaining that you can't just decide to be a tennis player and then it happens. It takes years of practicing and playing and competition from a very young age. He's been very sheltered I think. He has a very bright mind and he's quick. I gently suggested he think about being a Russian teacher here in the states until he decides what he wants to do professionally the rest of his life.
