A month or so since my last post, still unsure why I still have this since I don't write in it or read often, not cuz I don't want to or anything, just been lazy. Another Christmas passes with the oh so greeaat questions of 'when are you graduating?' and 'where's your girlfriend?' from the relatives that try to act like they know everything about you and want to know more, even though I only see them twice a year. Holidays suck major ass. I've decided to stay completely 100% away from my mom's side of my family, after the funeral of my grandmother, shit has come to a boil and my sisters and I are tired from it. We have our own lives and don't want to involve ourselves from people who talk shit about us and don't admit it to our faces.
Christmas was ok, spent time with my mom, sister and brother in law. My sisters decided to give Christmas gifts, but not secret santa like we've done in the past. They wanted MORE PRESENTS, so they wanted each of us to give gifts to everyone. The best part was that we had a limit...$30 minimum. NIIICE! Puts you in the christmas spirit when something from the heart has a price minimum on it. But I still obliged by it even though I'm the only one out of the three that doesn't have a man to share income with. For Toni, I got her a Wustoff Filet knife from Williams-Sonoma (price wasn't so bad with my discount), for Kim, I got her a handbag from Forth & Towne (old lady store, but bags were very nice and good price), and for Janelle, I agreed to take care of her dogs while she and her husband vacations in NY for a week (where I am now, and this is a HARD ASS gift, too many fucking pets!!!). The gifts from my sisters are still coming in the mail except for Janelle's. Janelle got me a dog that she found as a stray, a beagle mix. She's paying for his shots and neutering (over a $100 for everything). I'm still getting things ready in my apartment for him, so in the meantime she's training him. He's soooo cute, i named him Helo. I'll post a pic soon. Toni jumped on the pet bandwagon and bought me some pet supplies, a kennel, toys and whatnots. Kim hasn't told me what it is, but that it's 'special' and it's in the mail for me. I'm a lil worried on what she got me, but oh well.
I finally made the announcement to my family that I'm graduating next fall. I'm real excited and relieved. It feels like I've been in school for waaay too long. I put in a month notice to my general manager and district manager and told them that I needed to start looking for a job honing my skills in my major. They didn't like it, but agreed. I just hope I can find a job in a month. I really just want to get paid more. But before I leave I wanna get the most out of my insurance from the company and get invisalign for my teeth. I want to pay for it all at once now and do start the 12month process as soon as possible. When I graduate, I want my teeth to look extremely straight. With the insurance the company gives us, they'll pay for 50% of the ortho work and the rest is from my pocket. When I told my parents about this, they offered to pay for the rest...sweet! I just hope I don't screw things up. I need a real job real soon...
